Dive boat with mechanical problems on Proselyte reef

Sunday October 20th 2013 – around 11:45am a call was received about a dive charter boat with 10 persons on board experiencing mechanical problems on Proselyte reef. Rescue 01 responded and quickly found the vessel on anchor waiting to for help. The French site registered vessel was towed through the Simpson Bay bridge into the lagoon where it would be picked up by the dive company. Rescue thanks the Simpson Bay bridge operator for his quick response opening the draw bridge. The voluntary rescue crew was back at base around 1:45pm.
